Summary
The use of portable pupillometry is the preferred method to document reliable pupil size measurements. The standard pen-light evaluation of pupil size can be replaced by more consistent measurements using infrared pupillometry. The value of trending the size of the pupil is discussed. Various options for pupil size measurements are outlined in this chapter, with an emphasis that the same method should be used for each subject.
