Mr. Templeton's paper “Control. Reversal Effects on Swept-back Wings” (page 3, The Aeronautical Quarterly, Volume I, Part I) contains in Section 2 of the Appendix an argument which does not appear to be applicable to any but the simplest type of wing, namely one in which all the flexural and torsional rigidity is given by a single spar.
