Conference in Paris between Mr. Guy Mollet and Sir Anthony Eden, attended by Mr. Christian Pineau and Mr. Selwyn Lloyd. The Franco-British military intervention was decided.

“22 October 1956

Secret meeting between Mr. Ben Gurion and Mr. (Guy Mollet at the Villacoublay airport. A pacte moral was concluded. France would assist Israel in the offensive which it was preparing against Egypt.

“25 October 1956

Secret mobilization of Israel.

“28 October 1956

The United States calls home its nationals in Egypt.
