Social support among old people is particularly important because Event of life may endanger the supportive networks in this age-group the administered researches on old people have shown that:
Social support with more life satisfaction is less related to feeling of depression.
The aim of this study are the investigation of relationship between amount of depression and social support.
The sample of this study is composed of 100 old people that were selected randomly data about depression and social support were collected by depression inventory and social support scale.
The results show that: the amount of depression among old people is approximately 22% and women reported more depression depression among people who lost their spouse was higher than illiterate people and people with higher education reported more depressive symptoms depression had a negative.
Association with social support and old men in comparison with old women.
