A second edition of this work has recently been published (ICRC, Geneva, 1983), for which M. Veuthey wrote a new chapter in its introduction, reprinted here with his kind authorisation. This second edition has a bibliographical annex, listing more than five hundred titles of publications on humanitarian law and guerrilla warfare published between 1977 and 1982.
