References

* Since Compilation of this Paper, and nearing completion for publication, an intersting case (reffered to later) has been recorded by Logan Turner and Thomas Sprunt, of an unusual tonsillar appendage and its relation to cartilaginous formation in the tonsils. In this communication the writers have to some extent touched upon and anticipated the subject of the present paper.

Recent contributions have, in addition, been published by Georges Portmann and Spalaikovitch (Bordeaux), Carl Weller (Michigan), also by Hillkowitz and Gauss (Denver), references to which have been included in the present paper.
