page 294 note 1 The MS, of this review was found among the papers of the late Dr. Ashby. In the absence of any indication that it had been printed already, or of the place in which it was intended to appear, the Editorial Committee gladly accedes to Mrs. Ashby's suggestion that it should be published in the Journal.
