The legal rights of the physically disabled individual and the medicolegal implications of rehabilitation medicine are being identified as issues of critical importance throughout the country. In a unique one day symposium, the American Society of Law & Medicine and the Medical Rehabilitation Research and Training Center of Tufts New England Medical Center will attempt lo explore how recent advances in the field of rehabilitation and consumer advocacy play a growing role in the development of medicolegal alternatives to the handicapped and disabled.
The program will be held on December 1, 1976 at the Sheraton Boston Hotel and will be chaired by Carl V. Granger, M.D., psychiatrist-in-chief of the Rehabilitation Institute of New England Medical Center Hospital. Dr. Granger also serves as President of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
