Tomocube Launches a Network of 23 Distributors

A comprehensive network of specialist imaging companies has been assembled to support the sales and maintenance of Tomocube's holotomography microscopes around the world. Covering North America, Europe, and Asia, the group of 23 distributors is being launched as Tomocube prepares to introduce its second microscope model in less than three months. The launch of the new network comes as Tomocube readies a sister microscope to the just-launched HT1. The new microscope shares the HT-1's patented light-shaping digital micromirror device that generates unique 3D tomograms.

Digital Surf and Image Metrology Announce MountainsSPIP 8™ Software

Use Your Microscope as a Scanner

Berlin-based VMscope GmbH licenses and distributes iSTIX®, developed by the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits IIS. The software allows for any camera-equipped microscope to be used as a manual whole-slide scanner for the digitization of glass slides, materials, surfaces, or other microscopic structures. It is compatible with any microscope and camera and integrates seamlessly into the current microscope-centered workflow. iSTIX® sees the same field-of-view as the user does by looking through the microscope's eyepiece.

Photron Partners with Photonic Lattice

Photron partners with Photonic Lattice to develop two different digital 2D birefringence measurement systems. One is the CRYSTA, a high-speed dynamic measurement camera to scan high-speed events at speeds as fast as 1.3 million frames per second (fps). The second system, named the KAMAKIRI, is a high-accuracy static scan system that uses a five-megapixel CMOS cameras with three different bandpass filters to very accurately scan a sample as large as a piece of A4 paper.

B&W Tek Announces Updates to NanoRam® Software

B&W Tek released the latest versions of their NanoRam® operating and data-management software packages: NOS V5.16 and NID V5.16. These updates were designed to provide users with improvements in their data-management capabilities. The NanoRam is an intuitive handheld instrument used for nondestructive identification and verification of materials. China's First TIMA-X Installed at Peking University
