The website, www.microscopy.org, is the public face of the Microscopy Society of America. Any viewer can quickly learn about the history of the society, the current leadership, the committees, the member benefits, and the services that the society provides.

In the short space here it is not possible to describe all the pages and functions, but there are a few features that deserve mention. First, the landing page provides Society news and event news with links to other communications channels such as Facebook and LinkedIn. Second, the Communities section shows the breadth and reach of the society as it lists 32 Local Affiliated Societies, 10 Focused Interest Groups, 56 Sustaining Members, Technologists Forum, Certified Microscopists, and the International Committee. Third, the Educational Opportunities section highlights the society's educational efforts from videos of technical tutorials to Project MICRO, the society's highly successful outreach program for school children. Fourth, the Events section always provides information about the next M&M meeting, as well as the various meeting sites, past and future. Fifth, the MSA Publications section provides direct links to the society's two major publications: Microscopy and Microanalysis journal and Microscopy Today magazine. Finally, the Resources section provides microscopy information in several forms, including the MSA Placement Office Directory of Job Openings, the MSA Image Collection, the Microscopy ListServer, and links to other microscopy organizations around the world.

All this is open to anyone, and even more information is available to MSA members. So take a look at the MSA website. The only danger is spending more time there than you had intended.
