Twenty-two semi-structured interviews were conducted with pilots, joint terminal attack controllers and navigators. Twelve of them were deployed in OIF, three of them were deployed in ODS, three were deployed over North Vietnam and four did not specify their deployment. Most of them did not wish to be named. When quoting from specific interviews I, therefore, refer to operators by rank and deployment.
