Published quarterly, the British Journal of Anaesthetic and Recovery Nursing is devoted to issues affecting clinical practice in the field of peri-anaesthetic nursing and is the official publication of the British Anaesthetic & Recovery Nurses Association (BARNA). The Journal was launched in January 1999, following on from the previous BARNA publication, Anaesthetic & Recovery Nurse, which was established in 1991. The Journal publishes articles from the specialty of anaesthetic and recovery nursing. The content of the Journal includes editorials, original articles, brief reports, reviews, conference reports, news and notices.The journal is indexed by the CINAHL database.
