Walter C. Labys (1975) publie onze modelès de marchés de marchandise. II les introduit par une taxonomie des modèles de marchandise et de leurs applications. Les modèles sont utilisés soit pour faire des prédictions, soit pour simuler des politiques économiques. II conclut son livre en donnant les perspectives dans le domaine de la construction de ces modèles.
