The preservation principle of local theta correspondences of reductive dual pairs over a $p$-adic field predicts the existence of a sequence of irreducible supercuspidal representations of classical groups. Adams and Harris-Kudla-Sweet have a conjecture about the Langlands parameters for the sequence of supercuspidal representations. In this paper we prove modified versions of their conjectures for the case of supercuspidal representations with unipotent reduction.

Let $\mathbf{G}$ be the connected reductive group of type $E_{7,3}$ over $\mathbb{Q}$ and $\mathfrak{T}$ be the corresponding symmetric domain in $\mathbb{C}^{27}$. Let ${\rm\Gamma}=\mathbf{G}(\mathbb{Z})$ be the arithmetic subgroup defined by Baily. In this paper, for any positive integer $k\geqslant 10$, we will construct a (non-zero) holomorphic cusp form on $\mathfrak{T}$ of weight $2k$ with respect to ${\rm\Gamma}$ from a Hecke cusp form in $S_{2k-8}(\text{SL}_{2}(\mathbb{Z}))$. We follow Ikeda’s idea of using Siegel’s Eisenstein series, their Fourier–Jacobi expansions, and the compatible family of Eisenstein series.

This paper deals with the geometric local theta correspondence at the Iwahori level for dual reductive pairs of type II over a non-Archimedean field $F$ of characteristic $p\neq 2$ in the framework of the geometric Langlands program. First we construct and study the geometric version of the invariants of the Weil representation of the Iwahori-Hecke algebras. In the particular case of $(\mathbf{GL}_{1},\mathbf{GL}_{m})$ we give a complete geometric description of the corresponding category. The second part of the paper deals with geometric local Langlands functoriality at the Iwahori level in a general setting. Given two reductive connected groups $G$ and $H$ over $F$, and a morphism ${\check{G}}\times \text{SL}_{2}\rightarrow \check{H}$ of Langlands dual groups, we construct a bimodule over the affine extended Hecke algebras of $H$ and $G$ that should realize the geometric local Arthur–Langlands functoriality at the Iwahori level. Then, we propose a conjecture describing the geometric local theta correspondence at the Iwahori level constructed in the first part in terms of this bimodule, and we prove our conjecture for pairs $(\mathbf{GL}_{1},\mathbf{GL}_{m})$.

In a paper by Badulescu [Global Jacquet–Langlands correspondence, multiplicity one and classification of automorphic representations, Invent. Math. 172 (2008), 383–438], results on the global Jacquet–Langlands correspondence, (weak and strong) multiplicity-one theorems and the classification of automorphic representations for inner forms of the general linear group over a number field were established, under the assumption that the local inner forms are split at archimedean places. In this paper, we extend the main local results of that article to archimedean places so that the above condition can be removed. Along the way, we collect several results about the unitary dual of general linear groups over ℝ, ℂ or ℍ which are of independent interest.

This paper is a continuation of our previous work (D. Jiang and D. Soudry, On the genericity of cuspidal automorphic forms on${\rm SO}_{2n+1}$, J. reine angew. Math., to appear). We extend Moeglin's results (C. Moeglin, J. Lie Theory 7 (1997), 201–229, 231–238) from the even orthogonal groups to old orthogonal groups and complete our proof of the CAP conjecture for irreducible cuspidal automorphic representations of $\mathrm{SO}_{2n+1}(\mathbb{A})$ with special Bessel models. We also give a characterization of the vanishing of the central value of the standard $L$-function of $\mathrm{SO}_{2n+1}(\mathbb{A})$ in terms of theta correspondence. As a result, we obtain the weak Langlands functorial transfer from $\mathrm{SO}_{2n+1}(\mathbb{A})$ to $\mathrm{GL}_{2n}(\mathbb{A})$ for irreducible cuspidal automorphic representations of $\mathrm{SO}_{2n+1}(\mathbb{A})$ with special Bessel models.

We establish the Langlands functoriality conjecture for the transfer from the generic spectrum of GSp(4) to GL(4) and give a criterion for the cuspidality of its image. We apply this to prove results toward the generalized Ramanujan conjecture for generic representations of GSp(4).

We establish a transfer of (twisted) orbital integrals in the context of twisted endoscopy between a real reductive algebraic group $G$ and a reductive quasi-split real group $H_1$ associated to an endoscopic datum.
