Production
Once an article has been accepted, the process of copyediting, proofing, typesetting and publishing the article will begin. Authors will be asked to ensure all final files are submitted to ScholarOne before the article can be sent to Cambridge University Press for production.
Your point of contact with Cambridge University Press will be the content manager of the journal. Proofs and proof correction
Proofs are sent electronically to the contributors, with instructions on marking them and for returning them to the copyeditor. Corrections should be confined to typesetter’s errors and serious errors of fact. Heavily marked proofs are time- consuming to correct and may delay publication. If there are any points on the proofs which you wish to raise with the editors, or with the copyeditor, please contact the copyeditor. Queries should be directed in the first instance to the copyeditor.
Offprints
Contributors will receive a copy of the volume in which their article appears. Until recently, multiple copies of offprints of each article were supplied free to the first named author. It is now the practice to supply contributors with an electronic offprint, in PDF format. PDF offprints specify, on the cover sheet, the bibliographic context for the article; we understand that the publishers expect soon to be moving to a system of printing a copyright line and bibliographic reference as a header on the first page of the article itself.
