Patients with schizophrenia have a reduced life expectancy compared to the general population, and cardiovascular diseases contribute to this. Peripheral arterial disease (PAD) is associated with excess all-cause mortality and specifically with cardiovascular morbidity and mortality. The risk factors for PAD, such as diabetes, smoking, hypertension, dyslipidaemia and obesity, are more common among patients with schizophrenia which could contribute to a possibly higher prevalence of PAD among patients with schizophrenia.

To investigate PAD utilizing toe brachial index (TBI) in a population of patients diagnosed with schizophrenia with the purpose of establishing prevalence rates amongst newly diagnosed as well as more chronic patients.

A cross-sectional study of patients with schizophrenia (ICD10-diagnosis F20 or F25) with a study population of 57 patients diagnosed with schizophrenia within the last 2 years, psychiatric healthy controls matched by age, sex and smoking status and 142 patients with a schizophrenia diagnosis more than 10 years ago. The primary outcome is TBI in patients with schizophrenia stratified to the two subpopulations. The TBI will be calculated from the arm and toe systolic pressures. The toe pressures were measured using photoplethysmography (SysToe®, Atys Medical).

No results are available yet. The cohort will be described by age, sex, smoking status, body fat percentage and physical comorbidities. The TBI of the two subpopulations will be compared with psychiatrically healthy controls using paired t-tests if data is normally distributed. If transformation is unsuitable, Wilcoxon test will be carried out instead.

Paraphrenia is a psychotic disorder characterized by an insidious development of a vivid and exuberant delusional system, accompanied by hallucinations and confabulations, without a personality deterioration. It is considered to be an intermediate entity between the disorganization of schizophrenia and the systematization of a delusional disorder.

Develop knowledge about paraphrenia as an individualized diagnostic entity and its historical path through the classical authors’ texts.

Extensive research on the historical path of the paraphrenia diagnostic entity was carried out, as well as the current situation of the term.

In the German psychiatry it was Karl Kahlbaum who first introduced the term of paraphrenia. Later many authors of the German psychiatry delved into this diagnostic entity. Emil Kraepelin described four different subtypes of paraphrenia: paraphrenia systematica, expansiva, confabulans and phantastica. However, other authors such as Kleist or Bleuler, considered paraphrenia should not be judge as an individualized diagnostic entity as it should be considered inside schizophrenia, so the term disappeared in the German psychiatry. In the French psychiatry, unlike the German, the independence of chronic psychosis from schizophrenias was recognized, so the term had a longer path. Henry Ey recognized four important clinical features in this disorder: paralogical thought dominance, megalomania, confabulation and integrity of relation with reality.

Currently the term paraphrenia is no longer considered an individualized diagnostic entity. In fact, in today’s textbooks of psychiatry paraphrenia is considered a psychotic disorder that has nothing in common with the one described by the classical authors, and it is part of the late-onset psychosis.

PICU inpatients are likely to be at increased risk of having unmet SRH needs due to barriers to accessing services. Since May 2018, an in-reach SRH assessment has been available to all psychiatric inpatients on ES1 ward, if referred. Analysis of referrals over 15 months identified only 24 had been made during this time.

To assess the SRH needs of women admitted to ES1 PICU, the feasibility of providing a SRH in-reach clinic, and the acceptability of delivering a nurse lead referral programme.

A bi-monthly SRH in-reach clinic and a nurse led SRH referral pathway were implemented on ES1 over a seven-month period. A staff training needs assessment was performed followed by training, a protocol was developed, staff attitudes were explored, and patient engagement was sought.

A total of 41% (32/77) of patients were referred, which was a 29% increase. 53.1% (17/32) of the total referrals had a true SRH need, equating to a 10% increase and 22% (17/77) of all PICU admissions. 90% of referrals were made by nursing staff. A staff focus group (n15) highlighted the acceptability and perceived importance of offering SRH care in PICU, if interventions were appropriately timed and the patient’s individual risk profile was considered.

Results identify that SRH needs for PICU admissions are greater than previously realised. Providing a nurse led referral pathway for an SRH in-reach clinic is acceptable, feasible and beneficial for PICU patients. This project has resulted in service improvements including offering asymptomatic STI testing to all PICU admissions.

We (as Mental Health Professionals) should struggle against Stigma of Homosexuality as well as psychoeducate others about their human rights.

As a psychiatrist as well as EMDR Clinician Practitioner, i interviewed and still interview many clients who are homosexual. The first sessions, they are afraid to talk about their situation because of the Stigma as well as i am a Muslim, and their bad expeirence when they went to some psychiatrists who tortured them verbally. Withregard many of them tell me (i pray, fast, etc.), but their families and religious leaders say to them (you are not faithful) as judgement for them. Even me, i was attacked by some others (for example : Religious Leaders …) because i say homosexuality is normal.

Homosexualls till now are tortured (Verbally, Physically and Sexually) in general, and especially in the Eastern Sosciety.

We should work more and more to psychoeducate others about homosexuallity especially the religious leadrers that those are humans and we should respect their human rights. And this Stigma should be DELETED from the MIND.

When studying the multiple aspects of the problem of criminal offences of a sexual character committed by adult males towards teenage girls, the role of digital communication technologies is not taking into account.

To reveal the negative aspects of social and family connections and the influence of digital communications on the formation of deviations in psycho-sexual development of teenage girls who had become victims of sexual delicts of a non-violent character.

We have studied the specifics of psycho-sexual behavior of seventeen teenage girls, aged 12-16 and their Internet and SMS correspondence with adult males by analysis of semantics and pathos-psychological markers.

Intellectually, all the teenage girls are within normal age limits. They were bringing up in full, materially well-off families. Most of the girls’ parents experience a formal attitude towards them. The disrupted emotional ties of the teenage girls with mother or both parents leads to deviations in the development of normal teenage reactions, sexual attitudes. Their feeling of loneliness within the family, forces them to turn towards support to Internet-society or other adults of the opposite sex to their parents’ acquaintances. The desire to ascertain perfectionist expectations and self-assertion leads the teenagers to the realization of various forms of auto-destructive sexual behavior. They actively demonstrate in the Internet obscene photos of their genitals. While trying out their sexual importance, they persistently urge adult males towards sexual contacts.

Thus, the negative aspects of psycho-sexual development of teenage girls can disrupt their sexual behavior in adulthood.

The problem of homosexuality is constantly in the spotlight of the mass media, social media and politicians. At the same time, the cultural and national specificity of attitudes towards the phenomenon of homosexuality seems obvious, as well as a significant polarization of opinions within Russian society itself. With significant attention to this issue, there are not many attempts to analyze the socio-psychological basis of representations about homosexuality. At the same time, in a number of foreign studies it was revealed that the modern Z Gen is distinguished by greater tolerance and freedom of views in terms of attitude towards traditionally segregated social groups.

The purpose of this study was to identify representations about homosexuality among different generations of modern Russians.

The methodological basis of the research was the study of the structure of social representations (Vergesse methodique). The research methods implied the author’s questionnaire aimed at identifying representations about homosexuality and a modified version of the RAHI questionnaire. The sample was N = 444 (residents of Russia, age 16-65).

There was shown a significant difference between the Z Gen in terms of tolerance of representations about homosexuality. So called ‘double standards’ were identified in terms of attitudes towards male and female homosexuality. The rooted concept of homosexuality as a relationship based, rather, on a sexual rather than a romantic-spiritual level of relationships, was stated.

Main hypothesis was confirmed: an inverse relationship between age and perceptions of homosexuality as normative was revealed.

Gender identity is each person’s internal and individual experience of gender. Gender expression is how a person publicly expresses their gender. Gender incongruence (GI) is defined as a condition in which a person has a marked incongruence between the expressed or experienced gender and the biological sex at birth. Adolescence is a crucial period for the persistence or development of GI, due hormonal changes, peer relations and first romantic experiences.

To make a revision of the literature about GI along childhood throughout adolescence.

Research in the literature with the words “gender identity”, “gender incongruence”, “gender dysphoria”, “childhood” and “adolescence” in scientific databases.

GI is present in a small percentage of children, often provoking psychopathological distress. There is a high prevalence of autism spectrum disorders in these children, compared with the general population. In most cases the dysphoria does not persist until adolescence. There has been an increasing number of adolescents seeking for treatment at gender identity services. The studies show that after the onset of puberty, the probability of persistent GI is high and that adolescents submitted to hormonal suppression tend to continue the medical treatment.

Epidemiological formal studies about gender incongruence in children and adolescents are very few. Studies of prevalence in these populations are community studies and don’t reflect the true prevalence of GI, so it would be necessary to investigate its prevalence and persistence in different world populations. It’s also necessary to make more prospective studies about the long-term effects of the medical treatment of GI.

Today, approximately one fifth of employees in the European Union works in the shift system. Insomnia is one of the most common consequences of occupational stress and shift work. Identifying factors contributing to poor sleep quality among shift workers, especially in healthcare professions, is important because insomnia increases the risks for numerous health disorders and impacts work ability.

The aim of this research was to investigate to what extend does an inability to withdraw from work influences the link between occupational stress and insomnia among shift workers. We operationalized occupational stress within the Effort-Reward Imbalance Model (ERI). An imbalance between individual effort and reward obtained at work leads to experiencing a stressful work environment.

153 shift working female nurses completed a short questionnaire about work schedule, the Effort-Reward Imbalance questionnaire with the Overcommitment (OC) scale and the Insomnia Severity Index (ISI). To estimate the mediating effect of OC on the association between ERI and ISI, we conducted a mediation analysis using PROCESS v3.4 macro in SPSS.

The model including ERI and OC accounted for 12.25% of the variance in ISI scores. ERI significantly predicted OC and OC significantly predicted insomnia. The direct effects of ERI on ISI remained significant after controlling for the effects of overcommitment. 35.07% of the effect of ERI on ISI was through OC.

Ability to detach from work-related thoughts during leisure time is crucial for successful recovery from occupational stress. The research is supported by a grant no. 2019/33/N/HS6/02572 from the National Science Center in Poland.

Obstructive sleep apnea impacts quality of sleep and leads to sleep deprivation with consequences on level of general functioning and interpersonal relationships besides the known contribution to cardio and cerebrovascular disorders and sexual dysfunction. Most adults sleep with a partner and sleep disorders may also disrupt the partner´s sleep, yet surprisingly obstructive sleep apnea, even when such is the case, goes frequently undiagnosed.

To reflect on a clinical case that presents apparently as just another couple in conflict but in fact when unravelled leads to a diagnosis of obstructive sleep apnea that may have significant contribution to the conflict.

Unravelling what was at the core of a couple in conflict.

A heterosexual couple in their late thities present in serious conflict with each other. Both are depressed and anxious, sleeping badly, with intimacy issues and having trouble dealing with work obligations and household chores. After continued squabbling, some self-reflection but mostly other blaming, a thread released by the female partner leads to sleep evaluation of the male partner with a resulting diagnosis of obstructive sleep apnea and subsequent treatment. And the couple relationship got better…

Obstructive sleep apnea is frequent in the general population and more often than not undiagnosed but may be even more frequent in patients seeking mental health services. A sleep history is an important part of evaluation of patients who present with anxiety, depressive, sexual function and/or cognitive complaints and relationship issues. Interviewing intimate partners may provide essential clues to the possibility of existing sleep disorders.

The incubus phenomenon is a paroxysmal sleep-related disorder in which patients experience sleep paralysis and compound hallucinations. The symptoms of this phenomenon contain: sensed presence, fear, visual and auditory hallucinations, unusual body experiences such as out-of-body experience and feelings of floating/paralysis, experiencing a pressure on the thorax, difficulties breathing and a feeling of pain(1). This phenomenon appears to be universal, but has different cultural explanations(2).

We present a case of possible incubus phenomenon to raise awareness about this specific condition.

A literature search in English was performed using PubMed with the following mesh term: ‘incubus phenomenon’.

We present a 29-year old man, known with an intellectual disability (IQ=74), psychotic disorder and a cannabis use disorder. After neurological examination, he was diagnosed with narcolepsy and cataplexy. Over the past weeks there had been an increase of hallucinations that appear before, during or after sleep. The patient’s thoughts included sexual approaches by caregivers, difficulties in breathing and a moving sensation while laying down in bed and experiencing pressure on the thorax assuming a woman was sitting on his chest. Literature search shows a lifetime prevalence of 0.11 % in general population versus 0.41 % in psychiatric patients(2.)

Literature review shows only a few cases describing the incubus phenomenon. The prevalence is four times higher in patients with a psychiatric history(2) and should not be confused with psychotic disorder. Recognizing is important for proper treatment, as reoccurring attacks can be treated with anxiolytics, antidepressants, anticholinergics or anti-epileptics, and sleep hygiene methods(1.)

Substance abuse has traditionally been considered as a disease of men. Women were believed to have some kind of immunity in terms of “social inoculation”. However, due to change in societal norms and beliefs, substance use is currently increasing among women also.

To focus on female substance use in India

In India, traditional use of various substances by women during religious festivals is not unknown. Chewing tobacco is a common practice among many women across the country. Cultural use of alcohol has been known in some tribal populations but gradually the use is increasing. There is major difference in pattern of male and female substance use including initiation, progression, recovery and relapse. Women experience greater medical, physiological and psychological impairment and experience loss of control sooner than males. Teatment needs of female substance users is different and requires a gender specific comprehensive strategy which will require medical services, mental health services, services for family and child and employment opportunities.

Currently, there is no Indian policy for women substance use. However, Government of India has started a convergence program which includes National AIDS Control program (NACP), National rural health mission (NRHM) and reproductive or sexually transmitted infection (RTI/STI) to combat some aspects.

India is in great need of a policy or at least a standard operative protocol for management of female substance use disorder which may include screening for substance use disorder for all females accessing health sector, counselling, referral to addiction services, formation of a treating team and after –care.

Background: Little is known about the modifications in gambling patterns during the Covid-19 pandemic, which has shown signs of increase, particularly for individuals with preexisting gambling problems.

Our aim was to assess the behaviour of a cohort of patients in the Trentino Region.

A semi structured questionnaire containing Hamilton Depression Rating Scale as well as open-ended questions on gambling activities, specifically online gambling, was administred over the telephone. The survey was administred for two months over the lockdown period (april-june 2020) and took approximately 20 minutes to complete.

About 50 responsens were collected. Data are currently been analyzed and will be avaiable at the time of the Congress.

Alcohol abuse can be the cause for psychotic disorders. In the International Classification of Diseases (ICD10) they are coded F10.4-F10.9. One of the potentially life-threatening complications is the development of alcohol delirium. Mortality rates in patients with untreated alcohol delirium reach 15%. It is extremely important to identify the risk factors that contribute to the development of delirium in time to ensure the most effective treatment and to ensure the patient’s potential survival in the hospitalization and post-hospitalization phase.

To analyze and evaluate the risk factors that have coused alcohol withdrawal with the development of delirium in patients admitted at the department of Narcology of the Riga Psychiatry and Narcology Center in 2018.

This study is a retrospectively conducted cohort study based on data from inpatient medical records for patients diagnosed with alcohol-induced delirium at the Department of Narcology of the Riga Psychiatry and Narcology Center in Year 2018.

In the Riga Psychiatry and Narcology Center 113 patients were diagnosed alcohol caused delirium. That makes up to 8% of all inpatients in year 2018. Summary of the prevalence of the most significant risk factors in 2018 inpatients with alcohol delirium.

The study indicated that some easily determined parameters are potential clinical predictors for the development of delirium tremens.

Goffman defined stigma as an “attribute that is deeply discrediting” and in the last two decades research on this subject grew substantially.Opioids were ranked as the second most common form of illicit drug used worldwide and there is consensus in the literature that opioid substitution therapy (OST), methadone or buprenorphine, are the most effective treatments, although remain underutilized. People with an history of substance use disorders (SUD) are widely stigmatized, a significant barrier to detection and treatment efforts. Care workers were cited as the second most common source of stigma.

The aim is to do a review of the literature of stigma as a significant barrier to OST and present several potential strategies to reduce stigma.

Non-systematic review of the literature with selection of scientific articles published in the last 5 years; by searching the Pubmed and Medscape databases using the combination of MeSH descriptors. The following MeSH terms were used: Opioid Use Disorder; Stigma; Opioid Substitution Therapy

OST providers should actively bring up the topic of stigma in clinic appointments to determine whether the patient is experiencing stigma, and if so, whether it is adversely affecting their ability to continue in the treatment. More active measures need to be taken to help reducing the stigma through public awareness campaigns at local levels, continuing education of health care providers regarding substance OST, and greater incorporation of family members into the program.

In conclusion, further research is required to understand and address this issue.

Designer drugs, as a term, first came about in the 1980s. Most of these “designer drugs” have synthetic cannabinoids and other psychoactive formulas difficulty to detect.

A 28 year man was referred to the hospital.

CT brain and EEG were also normal.

Among 7 days before attending the hospital the patient had a strange behaviour. He was staying like in changed reality. The day before admission he got irritable in the evening was reporting that he could hear animal’s imperative voices “we together with squirrel, dolphin visited giraffe, that someone told to jump from the window”. That symptoms were temporary after that he was shocked when realized that he was in a room. The patient has the history of marihuana use in the past 5 years, periodically. There is no evidence data about the usage of other narcotic substances. On examination he was alert, sitting on a same place looking at one point, sometimes trying to find something or suddenly standing and trying to go somewhere. He has a change of catatonic stupor and excitement. The psychomotor activity was changeable. While observing the patient during few days several times he disrobed all his clothes, staying or laying on a bed or suddenly freezing in one pose.

Taking into account clinical symptoms, the patient developed, the conclusion was made about connection of patients’ oneiroid catatonia with the usage of “Spice” or “Designer drug”. Thus, designer drugs may sound like a safer alternative, but often can lead to serious mental disturbances.

Objective laws of emotional disorder formation, their frequency along with clinic and psychopathological structure have been poorly studied until now.3 groups of patients have been observed: 200 people with alcohol addiction, 180 people with opioid addiction, and 90 people with psychostimulant addiction.

All these have influenced our research which goal is to study patients’ emotional state at the stages of psychosocial rehabilitation.

Signs of psychological and physical addiction, specific personality disorders and decrease in social functioning level have been found for all of the observed patients. Psychodiagnostic research (performed according to Hamilton, Spielberger and Hanin, Buss-Durkee methods) has shown significant increase of depression and anxiety parameters, as well as aggression level for all the patients.

Psychosocial rehabilitation system has been formed and created according to the results of the research. It is built based on a stepwise multimodal principle, including social deprivation, individual and group psychotherapy, craft therapy with an outcome to self-organizing psychotherapeutic groups.

Emotional sphere state normalization occurred during the process of participation in the system. According to catamnesis data of 1 to 2 years, the developed system efficiency is: 72.00 % for patients with alcohol addiction, 64.00 % for patients with opioid addiction, 51.00 % for patients with psychostimulant addiction.

Internet gaming is acknowledged as a common leisure activity among adolescents yet only a little known about the pscyhodevelopmental roots. Emotion recognition and metacognition which are proved to be determinants in behavioral disorders may be considered salient factors in also internet gaming disorder (IGD).

The research to date has focused on psychological comorbidities rather than risk factors (e.g. dysfunctional metacognitive beliefs, emotion recognition deficits), whereas, improved early intervention would be more likely if risk factors were well defined, especially before the onset of the illness. The objective of this study was to investigate these areas by analyzing associations between metacognitive beliefs, emotion recognition, and IGD among late adolescents with tendency for pathological gaming behavior.

806 high school students were recruited and instructed to take Internet Gaming Disorder Scale (IGDT), Meta-Cognitions Questionnaire for Children and Adolescents (MCQ-C) and Reading the Mind in the Eyes Test - Children’s Version (RMET).

Mean comparisons corresponding to IGD risk potential showed that positive meta-worry and superstitious, punishment, and responsibility beliefs of MCQ-C were significantly higher in the risky group, whereas; RMET neutral subtest was significantly higher in the non-risky group. Additionally, a positive correlation was found in all subtests of MCQ-C, RMET positive emotions and IGD. Regression analysis revealed that RMET positive subtest and positive meta-worry of MCQ-C predict IGD risk.

The findings of the study partially corroborated the early results found among early adolescents; however, they also indicated the requirement of distinct therapeutic approach for cognitive interventions of IGD in late adolescence period.

Immune cells are dysfunctional during long-term ethanol consumption and may contribute to the progression from healthy to problem drinking. Lymphocytes from mice with chronic ethanol exposure characterized by impaired functional activity, manifested in the combination of increased spontaneous proliferation against the background of low sensitivity to T- cell mitogens.

We first demonstrated that original compound meta-chloro-benzhydryl-urea (m-ch-BHU) in vitro restored long-term alcoholized mice lymphocytes activity through GABA(A) receptors. We also revealed the possibility of animal’s behavioral regulation by the transplantation of immune cells with definite functional characteristics, also modulated by psychoactive drugs. Based on the previous results we investigated effects of m-ch-BHU modulated lymphocytes transplantation in recipients with experimental alcoholism.

Male (CBAxC57Bl/6)F1 mice with 6-month 10% ethanol exposure were undergoing the transplantation of syngeneic long-term alcoholized mice lymphocytes, pretreated in vitro with m-ch-BHU. Recipient’s ethanol consumption, nervous and immune systems functional activities were estimated.

It was shown that transplantation of lymphocytes with in vitro m-ch-BHU modulated functional activity caused in syngeneic recipients with chronic alcohol exposure essential ethanol consumption decrease and stimulation of motor and exploratory activities in the “open field” against the background of cytokines modulation in brain. The significant stimulation of humoral immune response, estimated by the relative number of antibody-forming spleen cells, and stimulation of DTH reaction were also detected in recipients after lymphocytes transplantation.

Results demonstrated that transplantation of m-ch-BHU modulated lymphocytes caused positive psychoneuroimmunomodulating effect in animals with chronic alcohol exposure, so, it may be considered as a promising method in the treatment of alcoholism

Original compound ortho-fluorobenzonal, a barbiturate derivative, is shown to reveal strong anticonvulsant activity by means increasing GABA-mediation. Disturbance of GABA(A) -receptors functions play an essential role in both alcoholism and epilepsy pathogenesis.

Taking into account the presence of GABA(A)-receptors on the lymphocytes surface and involvement of immune system in alcoholism pathogenesis, we investigated ortho-fluorobenzonal effects on the immune and nervous systems functional activities in mice with chronic alcohol exposure to find new perspective pharmacological substances in the treatment of alcoholism.

(CBAxC57Bl/6) F1 male mice with 6-month 10% ethanol exposure were undergoing intragastric administration of original compound ortho-fluorobenzonal for 10 days. Animal’s alcohol consumption, behavior and immune parameters were estimated.

It was found that ethanol daily consumption decreased sharply starting from 2 days of ortho-fluorobenzonal administration and led to the cessation of ethanol consumption by the 4 day in mice with chronic alcohol exposure. Pronounced changes in motor and exploratory activities in “open field” test was registered in long-term alcoholized mice after 10- day course ortho-fluorobenzonal administration. The above behavioral changes were recorded against the brain cytokines synthesis modulation. We have shown also the modulation by ortho-fluorobenzonal of immune system functional activity, in particular, significant cellular and humoral immune response stimulation, estimated by the relative number of antibody forming cells and reaction of delayed-type hypersensitivity respectively.

Original compound ortho-fluorobenzonal has a positive neuroimmunomodulation effect that manifests itself in the correction of iimmune and behavior disorders caused by the chronic ethanol exposure, therefore, this compound is promising in the therapy of alcoholism

Persons with substance use disorders (SUD) smoke at strikingly high rates and tobacco use cessation rates are notably low in this population. Contingency Management (CM) is effective to promote substance abstinence, including tobacco, in a large range of populations. CM is scarcely implemented in clinical settings mainly due to barriers at the therapist and organizational levels.

The study sought to examine the additive effectiveness of CM on Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) over long-term smoking abstinence in persons undergoing SUD treatment.

A total of 54 smokers (75.9% males, Mage=46.19, SD=9.21) were randomly assigned to CBT (n=30) or to CBT+CM (n=24). Interventions consisted of eight weeks of group-based therapy. Participants were instructed to gradually reduce their nicotine intake by 20% weekly. The CM arm was voucher-based, and the primary outcome was biochemically verified tobacco abstinence (CO≤4ppm, and urine cotinine≤80ng/ml).

A total of 42/54 (77.78%) participants completed the treatment (73.33% in CBT and 83.33% in CBT+CM; p=.380). At the end of treatment, participants in CBT+CM showed higher 24-hour smoking abstinence (50% vs. 20%, p=.032); however, both treatment conditions show equal abstinence rates in the remaining follow-ups (CBT1month= 13.33% vs. CBT+CM1month= 25%; CBT2months= 10% vs. CBT+CM2months= 16.66%; CBT3months= 10% vs. CBT+CM3months= 16.66%; CBT6months= 10% vs. CBT+CM6months= 8.33%; all p-values ≥ .244).

CM facilitates early abstinence outcomes in smokers with SUD more than CBT only does. However, no additive effects of CM were observed at long-term, suggesting the convenience to intensify CM schedules or using technology platforms for incentives delivery.
