Editor's note: First-hand accounts of how conventional farmers are attempting to “make the switch” from chemical-intensive to low chemical farming help us understand the problems involved in this transition process. At the IAA symposium, Indiana farmer Jess (Josh) C. Andrew III presented a highly informative talk on these critical issues and questions from the perspective of the conventional farmer.
