Note: Judge Sir Arnold McNair (as he then was) was unanimously elected an Honorary Member of the American Society of International Law in 1954 (Proceedings, p. 185) and the Society conferred the Manley O. Hudson Medal on Lord McNair in 1959 (Proceedings, pp. 81-84). As Lord McNair was unavoidably prevented from attending the Meeting of the Society, the Medal was accepted on his behalf by C. Wilfred Jenks.
