1 Timberlane Lumber Co. v. Bank of America, 549 F.2d 597 (9th Cir. 1976). Judge Choy expressly notes his reliance upon the jurisdictional “rule of reason” proposed by Brewster’s first edition. The proposed revision of the Restatement, Foreign Relations Law, urges a similar approach in proposed section 403, although, in the reviewer’s opinion, the proposal is imperfectly repeated in proposed section 415.
