* The Société de Préhistoire du Nord has just published a new album of more than 400 photographs: Roger Agache, Détection aéienne de vestiges protohistoriques, gallo-romains et médiévaux dans la Somme et ses abords—Contribution à 1’Histoire de l’occupation ancienne des sols—Bull. special no. 7—Musée de Picardie, Amiens, 1970.

In it are to be found aerial photographs and plans of all the archaeological remains discussed here. For the Middle Ages one should consult the excellent thesis of Robert Fossier, La Terre et les hommes en Picardie, 2 vol., Béatrice Nauwelaerts, Paris, Louvain, 1968.
