A new species of Parlagena McKenzie attacking coconut trees in Trinidad (Hom., Coccoidea, Diaspididae)

Extract

A new species of scale insect from coconut trees in Trinidad is described and named Parlagena bennetti. The generic assignment is tentative. A key to the four known species of Parlagena is provided.
