A new genus and species of Braconinae (Hymenoptera: Braconidae) parasitic on Diatraea sp. (Lepidoptera: Pyralidae) from Ecuador

Abstract

The braconine Palabracon diatraeaphilus gen. et sp. n. is described and illustrated from a unique female collected in Ecuador. The new species was reared as a parasitoid of an undetermined species of Diatraea.
