Abstract

In Attorney-General's Reference (No. 3 of 1994) [1997] 3 W.L.R. 421, the House of Lords was faced with the question whether an assault on a pregnant woman, where the violence was directed at the woman or her unborn child, may result in liability for homicide should the assault cause the death of the child after live birth.
