Remote cerebellar haemorrhage (RCH) is a rare but potentially lethal complication of spinal surgery resulting from inadvertent opening of the dura. The precise mechanism of this type of haemorrhage remains undetermined. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) may show a ‘Zebra sign’ representing the horizontal curvilinear configuration of haemorrhage between thecerebellar folia.
