3 Particular difficulty seems to have occurred because I analysed group behaviour in two different contexts, i.e. general, run-of-the-mill experience and a specific “case issue.” Substantial variation occurred in the two contexts, largely because the “case” involved matters of special salience to the groups concerned. Since this procedure hardly seems recondite and the relevant tables were typically labelled as either “case study issue” or “general,” Simeon's reaction again seems to reflect nationalistic nit-picking.
