Depresión bipolar psicótica frente a no psicótica en pacientes ambulatorios

Resumen

Se comparó la depresión bipolar psicótica con la depresión bipolar no psicótica. Se entrevistó a pacientes ambulatorios con depresión bipolar psicótica (n = 59) y no psicótica (n = 176) según la SCID-DSM-IV. La depresión bipolar psicótica era significativamente más grave y más crónica, tenía menos rasgos atípicos y comorbilidad del eje I y la padecían más pacientes con trastorno bipolar I y menos con trastorno bipolar II. La edad en el comienzo, la duración de la enfermedad, el género y las recurrencias no difirieron significativamente.
