Interpersonal psychotherapy was initially developed for treating adult depression. It has since been applied to other forms of psychopathology. Assumed that the different forms of psychopathology are often related to interpersonal processes we will present some of these developments. Indications and evaluation are discussed on the basis of the literature and our pratice in new fields of health psychology, namelly with patients with uremia and candidates to renal translantation.
