The advent of the video recorder and its rather belated legal recognition through licencing arrangements for off-air recording has opened up possibilities for the widespread use of the video in education. Not surprisingly the video revolution has encouraged the production of a wide range of films designed for (or purporting to be designed for) education, at all levels.
