1. The papers are published in the language in which they were originally given, with short summaries following. Discussions were conducted in both French and English, but according to the record, there were no interventions in English following the papers by Molnar and Donneur.
2. To be fair, the editor of the proceedings acknowledged in his introduction that “the question of culture did not receive enough attention during the colloquium. Nationalism cannot be separated from the national culture and the organizing committee erred when it did not include a workshop to analyze the role and and impact of national cultures in each society during the tumultuous postwar years.” (p. 7)
