The Effect of an age replacement to a standby redundant system

Summary

A multiple unit standby redundant system with preventive maintenance is presented. The Laplace transform of the probability density function of the time to the first emptiness for the system and its mean time are derived. As a special case, a two-unit standby redundant system with preventive maintenance is investigated in detail.
