3 The Journal's Annual Bibliography is now attempting to augment its utility through computerization. The history of that quest is now more than a decade old; the project has been plagued with disagreements and technical problems, and has yet to bear fruit in the form of a product superior to that until now produced by hand at much lower cost. Moreover, it anticipates a headline index only, not an index of contents.
