Brought before the Educational Section of the Association at Belfast on September 12th. The Committee was appointed to report upon improvements that might be effected in the teaching of mathematics, in the first instance in the teaching of elementary mathematics, and upon such means as they think likely to effect such improvements. The members of the Committee were Prof. Chrystal, Mr. W. D. Eggar, Mr. H. W. Eve, Prof. Forsyth (Chairman), Prof. Gibson, Dr. Gladstone. Prof. Greenhill, Prof. R. A.
