Let G be a plane domain with ∞ ∊ G. Let E be the compact complement of G and cap E the logarithmic capacity. We shall assume that cap E = 1 and E ⊂ {|Z| ≤ R. Then R ≥ 1, with equality if and only if E is a closed disc.
