Abstract

New perovskite-type oxide (Tl1/2Na1/2)TiO3 was synthesized by a cubic-anvil-type high pressure apparatus at 5.5 GPa and 1273 K for 30 sec. The perovskite-phase was found to have a tetragonal symmetry with space group P4/mmm. The lattice parameters a and c are 0.3811 nm and 0.3826 nm, respectively. An insulating skin covered the sample, but real resistivity is smaller and shows a metallic behavior.
