1 The protocols purports to be a record of the conspiratorial deliberations of Jewish elders, including the Rothschilds, of plans to dominate the world by instigating wars and revolutions. It was shown to be a forgery published by the Tsarist secret police in Russia at the turn of the twentieth century. It has since been widely revived as a prop to anti-Jewish sentiments, notably in the Middle East in recent times.
