Wild Stomoxys calcitrans flies were dissected in search of developmental larvae of Setaria cervi without success.

S. cervi worms were implanted intraperitoneally into rabbits and live microfilariae were recovered from the blood.

Morphological descriptions are given of the larvae from the blood of rabbits and of the adult worms taken from slaughtered cattle.
