Extract
This work contains the description of two new Coccidia parasitic in the South American lizard Cnemidophorus lemniscatus lemniscatus. One is identified as Eimeria flaviviridis americana subsp.nov., which is described and discussed in relation to the other species recorded from sauria. The other is Hoarella garnhami gen.nov., sp.nov., whose position in the family Eimeriidae necessitated a revision of the classification of the Coccidia Eimeriidae.
I wish to acknowledge the help and encouragement I received from Professor P. C. C. Garnham, in whose department this work was carried out.
