On page 461, in the right-hand column the sentence beginning on line 24 should read ‘The prevalence of TD was 31%, and there was a trend towards higher prevalance among the in-patients (45 %). In the other three groups the prevalence was 25%.’

Thornicroft, G., Bisoffi, G., De Salvia, D. & Tansella, M. ‘Urban-rural differences in the associations between social deprivation and psychiatric service utilization in schizophrenia and all diagnoses: a case-register study in Northern Italy’ (Vol. 23, pp. 487–496). On page 489 in the lefthand column there is a sentence that starts on line 13 up from the bottom of the page (it begins ‘The variable long-stay patients…’), this entire sentence should be deleted.

Pilowsky, L. S. et al. ‘Antipsychotic medication, D₂ dopamine receptor blockade and clinical response: a ¹²³I IBZM SPET (single photon emission tomography) study’ (Vol. 23, 791–797). On page 794 first column, the sentence that begins on line 9 up should read: ‘Mean subtraction indices were 67·7 (s.E. 2·9) and 704 (s.E. 3·27) in the right and left striata respectively.’
