This is the last issue of my term as Editor of the Canadian Journal of Linguistics. The last few years have been an exciting time for the journal, as we grew from three to four issues per year, implemented an online submission and review system, increased the size of both the Editorial Board and the core editorial team, and saw a very welcome increase in the number of high-quality submissions.
These changes could not have happened without the hard work – and relentless good cheer – of the editorial team (Heather Newell, Co-Editor; Catherine Léger, Book Review Editor; Andréia De Souza, Editorial Assistant; and Yannick deLancey Morin, Copy-editor), as well as the production team at Cambridge University Press. I am also very grateful to the members of the Editorial Board for being there whenever we needed them, and to Julie Auger and Daniel Currie Hall for agreeing to take on the increased responsibility of being our new Associate Editors.
With the publication of this issue, I pass the baton with gratitude and best wishes to our new editor, Heather Newell, and we welcome Dan Siddiqi as the new Co-Editor. It has been an honour, and a lot of fun, to serve as the editor of “our” journal, and I know that it will thrive under the stewardship of the new Editors.
Ceci est le dernier numéro de mon mandat en tant que rédactrice de la Revue canadienne de linguistique. La revue a connu au cours des dernières années une période passionnante : nous sommes passés de trois à quatre numéros par an, nous avons mis en place un système de soumission et d’évaluation en ligne, et augmenté la taille du comité de rédaction et de l’équipe éditoriale principale. Nous avons, de plus, constaté une réjouissante augmentation du nombre de soumissions de haute qualité.
Ces changements n'auraient pu se produire sans le travail assidu – et la bonne humeur – de l'équipe éditoriale (Heather Newell, corédactrice; Catherine Léger, rédactrice des comptes rendus, Andréia De Souza, assistante à la rédaction, et Yannick deLancey Morin, responsable de correction), ainsi que de l’équipe de production de la Cambridge University Press. Je suis également très reconnaissante aux membres du comité de rédaction d'avoir été présents chaque fois que nous avons eu besoin d'eux, ainsi qu’à Julie Auger et à Daniel Currie Hall d'avoir accepté d'assumer la responsabilité accrue des postes de rédactrice et de rédacteur adjoint(e)s.
Avec la publication de ce numéro, je passe le flambeau avec ma gratitude et mes meilleurs vœux à notre nouvelle rédactrice, Heather Newell; nous souhaitons par la même occasion la bienvenue à Dan Siddiqi en tant que corédacteur. Ce fut un honneur et un grand plaisir de servir en tant que rédactrice en chef de « notre » revue, et je sais qu'elle prospérera sous la direction de la nouvelle équipe.
