We establish hyperweak boundedness of area functions, square functions, maximal operators, and Calderón–Zygmund operators on products of two stratified Lie groups.

The Marcinkiewicz multipliers are $L^{p}$ bounded for $1<p<\infty$ on the Heisenberg group $\mathbb{H}^{n}\simeq \mathbb{C}^{n}\times \mathbb{R}$ (Müller, Ricci, and Stein). This is surprising in the sense that these multipliers are invariant under a two parameter group of dilations on $\mathbb{C}^{n}\times \mathbb{R}$, while there is no two parameter group of automorphic dilations on $\mathbb{H}^{n}$. The purpose of this paper is to establish a theory of the flag Lipschitz space on the Heisenberg group $\mathbb{H}^{n}\simeq \mathbb{C}^{n}\times \mathbb{R}$ that is, in a sense, intermediate between that of the classical Lipschitz space on the Heisenberg group $\mathbb{H}^{n}$ and the product Lipschitz space on $\mathbb{C}^{n}\times \mathbb{R}$. We characterize this flag Lipschitz space via the Littlewood–Paley theory and prove that flag singular integral operators, which include the Marcinkiewicz multipliers, are bounded on these flag Lipschitz spaces.

Let $\mathbb{T}$ denote the unit circle in the complex plane, and let $X$ be a Banach space that satisfies Burkholder’s $\text{UMD}$ condition. Fix a natural number, $N\,\in \,\mathbb{N}$ . Let $\mathcal{P}$ denote the reverse lexicographical order on ${{\mathbb{Z}}^{N}}$ . For each $f\,\in \,{{L}^{1}}({{\mathbb{T}}^{N}},X)$ , there exists a strongly measurable function $\tilde{f}$ such that formally, for all $\mathbf{n}\,\in \,{{\mathbb{Z}}^{N}},\,\hat{\tilde{f}}\,\left( \mathbf{n} \right)\,=\,-i\,{{sgn }_{\mathcal{P}}}\left( \mathbf{n} \right)\hat{f}\left( \mathbf{n} \right)$ . In this paper, we present a summation method for this conjugate function directly analogous to the martingale methods developed by Asmar and Montgomery-Smith for scalar-valued functions. Using a stochastic integral representation and an application of Garling’s characterization of $\text{UMD}$ spaces, we prove that the associated maximal operator satisfies a weak-type (1, 1) inequality with a constant independent of the dimension $N$.

We characterize the Hardy spaces Hp(G) of a compact Lie groupG by means of S-functions in analogy with the theorem of Fefferman-Stein for Rn. We also characterize Hp(G) by means of the -functions.

Let G be a locally compact Abelian group, with character group X. Suppose that X contains a measurable order P. For the conjugate function of f is the function whose Fourier transform satisfies the identity for almost all χ in X where sgnp(χ) = - 1 , 0, 1, according as We prove that, when f is bounded with compact support, the conjugate function satisfies some weak type inequalities similar to those of the Hilbert transform of a bounded function with compact support in ℝ. As a consequence of these inequalities, we prove that possesses strong integrability properties, whenever f is bounded and G is compact. In particular, we show that, when G is compact and f is continuous on G, the function is integrable for all p > 0.
