This series focuses on Middle Eastern Christianity across all chronological periods and on Middle Eastern Christians in the region and throughout the world today. It recognises Middle Eastern Christians as a continuous part of world Christianity and as vital participants in religious, political and social movements in the modern Middle East. Books in the series help build an understanding of the religious, cultural and national diversity of Middle Eastern Christians, and an appreciation of the links between Christian communities in the Middle East over its long history and in Middle Eastern Christianity today. It highlights the contributions that Christians have made to Middle Eastern societies and the importance of remembering and recounting these histories, and draws attention to overlooked histories and contemporary realities that challenge perceptions of a perpetual tension between Christians and other religious communities in the Middle East. Collectively the series shows that the study of Middle Eastern Christianity is relevant for the field of World Christianity and for socio-cultural and political histories of the Middle East.
