Summary

Outlines the provisions of the Dutch Euthanasia Act and the Code of Practice published by the regional review committees; outlines three important decisions of the Dutch Supreme Court; considers specific issues addressed by the Code of Practice (such as euthanasia for patients with dementia) and considers whether the guidelines laid down by the Act and the Code of Practice are any more precise or strict than the preceding guidelines.
