This chapter treats the special class of non-Archimedean Polish groups arising commonly as automorphism groups of countable structures or as the mapping class groups of infinite-type surfaces. It is shown how the geometry of an automorphism group of a countable first-order structure may be represented via a graph on this underlying structure. Furthermore, several results relating model theoretical concepts and geometric properties of automorphism groups are established.
