This chapter sets out the main functions of artificial intellgence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT) and distributed ledger technology (DLT) within the environmental sphere and how these technologies can be combined to create more effective climate solutions through weather-pattern prediction, increasing transparency and accounting, technical feasibility and carbon market resilience.
