Summary
BLACKMORE (Dorset) (Blackmore Regis) The hermitage existed by 1300 and was for brothers under a pr. following a rule, apparently similar to the Austin friars: it became a free chapel some time after 1424 (KH, 46). Annexed to Cerne abbey 1513 (see below).
