Aujourd'hui le dix-huitieme Jour du mois de Janvier mil sept cent ans trente neuvieme Stile de Brabant et septieme jour dudit mois de janvier Stile d'Angleterre paru devant moi Jaques Antoine de Rij notaire admis par le Conseil Souverain de Sa Majeste Imperiale et Souverain et Catholique ordonné en Brabant et resident a Louvain present les temoins embas denommés comparirent le sieur Gilbert Haijdocke et le sieur Jean Melling amb[assa] deur Anglois lesquels jointement les d[eu]h temoins en bas denommés sous serment ont declares prece es mains de moi le dit notaire ont declaré attesté & affirmé ainsi que moi notaire de bien connoitre l'honorable Lady Catherine Radclyffe, seconde fille du tres honourable Francois feu Comte de Derwentwater decede & que la dite Honorable Lady Catherine Radclyffe est actuellement en vie pour s'etre aujourd'huij presentée en personne pardevant nous en sa demeure vié nous nous [sic] sommes [transportes?] en la paroisse de St[…]

Today the eighteenth day of January 1739 [sic] Brabant style and the seventh day of the said month English style there appeared before me, Jacques Antoine du Rij, notary admitted by the Sovereign Council of His Imperial and Sovereign and Catholic Majesty qualified in Brabant and resident at Louvain, the witnesses named below comprising Gilbert Haydocke, gentleman, and John Melling, gentleman, English representative, who jointly as the two witnesses named below, have declared, attested and affirmed under oath before me the said notary that they well know the Hon. Lady Catherine Radclyffe, second daughter of the Rt. Hon. Francis late Earl of Derwentwater deceased, and that the said Hon.
