Sciendum est quod omnes qui ante reverendissimi domini archiepiscopi Cantuariensis citantur ad comparendum coram eo in domo capitulari ecclesiae cathedralis Divi Pauli Londoniarum duodecimo die Ianuarii proximo tenentur praefixo tempore interesse, atque in eadem ecclesia cathedrali praestolari adventum dicti reverendissimi. Qui ex more paulo post octavam ante meridiem illius diei solet cum celebri comitatu apud portum Thamesis vocatum ‘Paul's Wharf in terrain descendere atque exinde proeuntibus advocatis et procuratoribus curiae Cantuariensis certisque reverendissimi generosis ac vergifero convocationis ad ecclesiam cathedralem Divi Pauli Londoniarum recta tendere atque in chorum ibidem ingredi. Ubi postquam in stallo decani collocatus fuerit ac preces dixerit, tarn ipse quam reliqui episcopi [2] praesentes habitu convocationis togati ex utroque chori latere in suis stallis sese constituunt. Et mox incipiunt preces quibus Spiritus Sancti gratia invocatur ac contio subsequitur. Ac tempore offertorii, tarn dictus reverendissimus quam ceteri suffraganei episcopi rem divinam celebranti ordine, praegedientes oblationem offerre ex moredebent. Peracta in hunc modum re divina, solet doctus aliquis ex coetu convocationis sive superioris sive inferioris domus ad hoc selectus e suggestu in medio chori contionem ad clerum ibidem congregatum Latine proferre, qua absoluta, reverendissimus statim se confert in domum capitularem dictae ecclesiae sequentibus episcopis et toto clero. Quibus ingressis ac seclusis extraneis, reverendissimo ac ceteris suis coepiscopis in suis sedibus ordine consedentibus ac reliquo clero circumstante reverendus dominus episcopus Londoniensis mandatum sibi a dicto reverendissimo ad convocationem huiusmodi subeundum alias directum una cum debito certiflcatorio super executione eiusdem introducere [3] ac debita debita cum reverentia eidem reverendissimo patri praesentare et tradere tenetur. Quo quidem certiflcatorio perlecto, statim porrigitur eidem reverendissimo schedula descripta per quam pronuntiat omnes a[b - crossed out] eosdem diem horam et locum citatos et non comparentes contumaces, reservando poenam eorum contumaciae in aliquem diem competentem pro beneplacito eius reverendissimi. Praemissis sic expeditis, dictus reverendissimus ad episcopos et clerum tune praesentes Anglice sive Latine causam sui adventus ac dictae convocationis inchoatae exponit. Quodque ex laudabili et antiqua ordinatione eadem convocatio in duomembra dividitur, nempe in superiorem atque inferiorem domum. Unde reverendissimus et ceteri coepiscopi superiorem domum efficiunt, inferior vero domus ex decanis ecclesiarum cathedralium, archidiaconis, collegiorum magistris et capitulorum cathedralium ecclesiarum; nee non cleri cuiuscunque dioceseos procuratoribus constat.
