Religious Studies is one of the oldest journals in the philosophy of religion, having been launched 55 years ago. Back issues of the journal therefore represent the history of the philosophy of religion since the second half of the last century.
Religious Studies Archives is a new online initiative conceived to utilise this enormous historical resource. To create an issue of Religious Studies Archives, an invited guest editor will select several of the best papers on a specific philosophical topic from back issues of Religious Studies. A set of these papers, along with its guest editor’s introduction, is then published as a virtual special issue and can be read online free of charge and worldwide. Our hope is that Religious Studies Archives will highlight unique and important philosophical works published in Religious Studies and provide useful resources for researchers and students.
