The Other in Mother is an installation that explores the psychological transition women experience in becoming mothers. Research included interviews with perinatal professionals and new mothers as well as a social media campaign that saw over 60 women from all over the world upload objects and stories about their own ‘maternal transition’. Greaves created a large immersive installation of manipulated objects representing the diverse experiences of new mothers.
