Elaine Aston is internationally acclaimed for her feminism and theatre research. Her monographs include Caryl Churchill (1997/ 2001/ 2010); Feminism and Theatre (1995); Feminist Theatre Practice (1999); Feminist Views on the English Stage (2003); Performance Practice and Process: Contemporary [Women] Practitioners (2008, with Geraldine Harris); A Good Night Out for the Girls (2013, with Geraldine Harris); and Restaging Feminisms (2020). She has served as Senior Editor of Theatre Research International (2010-12) and in 2019 was elected President of the International Federation for Theatre Research. In 2014 she was awarded an Honorary Doctorate by Stockholm University.

Melissa Sihra researches and teaches in the fields of Women in Theatre, Feminism, Gender and Performance, Playwriting and Irish Theatre. She is author of Marina Carr: Pastures of the Unknown (2018), and editor of Women in Irish Drama: A Century of Authorship and Representation (2007), co-editor with Pirkko Koski of The Global Meets the Local in Performance and co-editor with Paul Murphy of The Dreaming Body: Contemporary Irish Theatre (2011). She was President of the Irish Society for Theatre Research from 2011-2015.
